Travis was raised in Elizabeth City, North Carolina although he is originally from Hawaii. He went to UNCG and majored in Physical education, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree.

He started teaching in 2003 (the same year he married Kelly) and found a way of incorporating music into his teaching methods. Travis received his National Board Certification in Physical Education in 2010. He has coached several sports and has run several sports camps for kids ranging in age from 5-15 years old. He currently coaches the special teams for the SWHS football team. He LOVES it!!

Travis enjoyed teaching and coaching at the secondary level for the past 10 years, but he currently teaches physical education at Kirkman Park Elementary School in High Point and he is loving the little kids! Travis works at Sprouts 1-2 days a week during the school year and every day during summer camp.

The kids LOVE Coach T!!

Latricia (Tricia) grew up in High Point, North Carolina. She attended Winston Salem State University. There, her major was nursing, which she soon changed to elementary education. She was the co-captain of the cheering team at WSSU. Tricia then attended GTCC majoring in elementary education and cheered on the squad there as well. Currently, she attends DCC with a focus on Elementary Education.

Latricia has a multitude of experience in child care. She worked in her mother's daycare for many years, helping with the day to day activities and coming up with awesome things for the kids to do. She babysits and nannies regularly and coached cheering through the city of HP. She is also over the dance ministry at her church.

Latricia came to Sprouts in August 2014 and has been a part of our family ever since. She holds her students to high standards while still offering a nurturing environment in which they can thrive. Her nieces and nephew also attend many Sprouts programs. In Fall 2016, Sprouts promoted her to Assistant Director, due to her great leadership skills and knowledge of all things Sprouts. We are so proud of the growth that Latricia has made and excited to see what she does in her new position!!

Kia is the newest Sprouts teacher and we are so excited to have her! She is originally from Columbia, SC, but now lives in Greensboro. She has two brothers and just welcomed her very first nephew into the world. They are obsessed with this bundle of joy!

Her previous experience with kids ranges from being a big sister to babysitting and serving as a nanny; she is certainly a natural with the kiddos.

Kia is working with our older students at Sprouts and all of her experience with her younger brother has come in handy. She relates well to the children, but also has firm boundaries in place. She has taken the time to get to know the students and has adjusted her teaching style accordingly.

While she is not at Sprouts, Kia enjoys sports, shopping and baking. She is presently a student at GTCC seeking her degree in education.

Her motto is “We were made to be awesome, so that’s what we will be!” Her kind spirit and bubbly personality will capture your hearts! We are happy to welcome Kia to our family!

Morgan grew up in Reidsville, North Carolina on a small farm. She moved to High Point in 2008 where she earned her bachelors degree in Studio Art from High Point University, with a concentration in education. During her summers at HPU, she worked as an Arts & Crafts teacher & counselor at a Summer Camp for Girls in Brevard, NC.

Morgan joined the Sprouts team in 2012. She currently is working with her husband running their own landscaping business, however, she still comes to help out at Sprouts whenever she is needed!

Her philosophy is that children learn and grow best in nurturing environments with fun and engaging activities that push their minds and bodies to meaningful goals.

Morgan currently lives in Summerfield with her husband, Zach and big white dog, Kada. She recently just got another puppy named Zelda. She loves cooking, spending time outdoors and crafting!

We are soooooo lucky to have her at Sprouts!!

 Sprouts "Go-To Girl"

Carolyn grew up in New Jersey (at the shore) and has three brothers. She moved to North Carolina in 1999 to attend the University of North Carolina @ Greensboro and obtained her degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, she began her teaching career with Guilford County Schools.

She taught elementary school for ten years. She has taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade as well as tutored students in Pre-Kindergarten-8th grade. Carolyn earned her National Board Certification for General/Middle Childhood in 2008. She obtained her Masters Degree in School Administration at the University of North Carolina in 2011. Carolyn is married to Trevor and she is the stepmother to a beautiful girl, named Rhyan, and gave birth to their adorable son, TJ in January 2016.

Carolyn has a passion for teaching. Sprouts is a way for her to share her knowledge and teaching expertise with a vast array of children. Kids love her outgoing personality and her caring nature. Carolyn has inventive and clever ways of making every learning experience enjoyable and exciting for children of all ages!

Kelly grew up in northern New Jersey and has a younger sister, and a super cute nephew, that attends Sprouts. She moved to North Carolina at the start of her high school career and attended Western Guilford. For college, she studied Exercise and Sports Science at The University of North Carolina @ Greensboro.

After graduation, she began her teaching career with Guilford County Schools. She taught kindergarten through 5th grade Physical Education for ten years. She also tutored literacy and math students in K-2nd grade. Kelly has coached High School Softball and Lacrosse for six years. She earned her National Board Certification for Physical Education in Early/Middle Childhood in 2007. She graduated in 2009 with a Master’s in School Administration from Appalachian State University. Kelly is married to Travis and they have two daughters, Naia and Nori, who both attend Sprouts (and believe they run the place).

One of Kelly’s greatest teaching strengths is her ability to sneak academics into her physical education classes without any of the kids realizing it. She relates well to her students. She is creative and able to make learning relevant for kids. She has a wealth of knowledge about health and fitness and is excited to have the opportunity to influence children about how to be healthy and fit in a fun way!

A place where children's minds and bodies can grow

Ciera is from Denver, NC and currently lives in Greensboro with her fiance and pet dog, Cooper. She graduated from UNCG in 2015 with a BA in Psychology and a double minor in Dance and Human Development and Family Studies.

One of the many reasons she loves working at Sprouts is because it is such a supportive environment that most of the time, it doesn't even feel like work! The kids at Sprouts are amazing and I cherish the time we spend together.

Her hobbies include dancing, reading, and watching Netflix. She certainly encourages her students to give it their all and never hold back. She hopes to instill her love of music and arts in her Sprouts children, while strengthening their abilities in their core classes. We are excited about the new attributes Ciera is bringing to Sprouts!

Anna is from Charleston, SC where she was raised with her older sister. She moved to North Carolina to attend High Point University. She graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors in Special Education. Anna decided to make the Triad her permanent home after marrying her husband, whom she met at HPU.

After graduation, Anna began her career in childcare and has been there ever since. She actually taught Kelly’s children and nephew in her classes! Anna is very excited to join Sprouts and continue educating children in creative and meaningful ways. She believes a key component to a child’s success is proper support from adults and maintaining open communication with students’ families.

Anna currently lives in Kernersville with her husband, Parker and their dog, Bear. She enjoys cooking and traveling to visit friends and family.

Nicole grew up in Chicopee, Massachusetts with her younger brother and sister.  She moved to North Carolina in 2012 to attend High Point University where she graduated with a bachelor of science in Biology and Psychology in May 2016.  She began working at Sprouts in January 2016 during her senior year.  Her passions for biology and environmental science helped her greatly during this past summer camp as the science teacher.

Nicole previously worked in after school care in her hometown where she helped with homework and taught dance. She also coached youth softball with her dad for many years.  She truly loves working with children and brings that love with her to work every day.  Her strengths lie in creating fun and new games that promote teamwork and leadership.  She believes that building strong relationships with her students based on trust and open communication is the best way to help them thrive in and out of the classroom. We are looking forward to her working her magic with our kiddos through team building and cooperative activities.

Nicole currently lives in Greensboro with her roommate Kellie.  She enjoys hiking, reading, and volunteering during her free time.  She is very thankful to call Sprouts her family!
